Bookish Ruth has a new address and a new look.

I decided to purchase a domain name for my blog, so now instead of bookishruth.blogspot.com, the address is simply BookishRuth.net. All existing links to the Blogspot address will automatically re-direct to the new address, but if you read my site through an RSS feed, you may want to change to the new address for your RSS reader.

Also, I finally got around to creating a header for my blog, so the site has a bit of a new look. Take a look and let me know what you think!

Missed my last post? I reviewed Aberrations by Penelope Przekop.

  1. Ruth: I like the new design, but the young woman in the picture doesn't look too happy with the book she is reading. Maybe she needs to choose a new book?

  2. Yeah, I wish she looked a bit happier, but I realized that she looks a lot like I do when I'm reading. Unless I'm reading something that's laugh out loud funny, I go into "serious reading mode". More than one person who has observed me reading has remarked that I don't look happy with my book. That's rarely the case; I tend to get so into good books that I "zone out" from the rest of the world.

  3. I can relate as it sometimes is the same with me...my wife even more so. I tend to at least crack a smile with a funny book. She rarely cracks a smile.

But the new design is very bright and full of life.

  5. Nice redesign. What made you decide to get yourself a domain name?

I have *The Gargoyle* on my bookcase, but haven't read it yet ... I'm sure you'll get a great response to your giveaway.

  8. Thanks, everyone! I'm glad that you guys like the new look.

Ann, I thought about getting a domain when I signed up with Blogger, but wanted to wait a little bit and see if review blogging was something I wanted to do on a regular basis. I started blogging in June and have really enjoyed it, so I decided to go ahead and purchase the domain.
